Welcome, I'm so glad you're here.

If you’re feeling disconnected from yourself, finding it difficult to navigate daily life, maintain relationships, or feel fulfilled at work, know that you’re not alone. It’s common to feel burnt out, overwhelmed, frustrated, or lost—just trying to get through the day. You may be struggling to feel safe, meet expectations, or find meaning and purpose in what you do. Maybe you're wondering if life could feel different, more aligned with who you truly are.

In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to acknowledge the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty many of us feel. Life can present challenges that leave us questioning our place in the world, facing obstacles that seem too heavy, and yearning for deeper, more meaningful connections.

If any of this resonates with you, I’m here to help you navigate those feelings and find a path forward.

My Practice

The first step in therapy is offering hope, and that’s where we begin. I take the time to truly get to know you, understand the challenges you're facing, and meet you right where you are. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings, and I’ll listen with empathy and an open heart. We’ll collaborate to set meaningful goals, and I’ll offer different perspectives and a personalized treatment plan to support your unique journey.

My counselling approach integrates attachment and intersectional lenses, helping you gain insight into yourself and the challenges you face. I believe in a humanistic perspective, recognizing that safety, connection, and self-awareness are key to achieving personal growth and therapeutic goals.

Whether you’re seeking support as a child or an adult, I offer virtual/in-person sessions in an inclusive and safe space where you can feel truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths to create the momentum needed to move forward with confidence and clarity.

A Little About Me

You can call me Sammie, my pronouns are she/her, and I'm a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master’s in Counselling from City University of Seattle, and I’m based in Calgary, Alberta. Helping others is my passion, and I feel honoured to be a part of people’s journeys toward healing and growth.

I’m a proud third-generation Canadian with both Italian and Scottish roots. Calgary is home, and I love spending time with those closest to me. Outside of work, you can often find me unwinding in a hot yoga class, enjoying a warm cup of coffee with a good book, or taking my dog, Jasper, for a sunny walk. I also love snowboarding, hitting the gym, and exploring new places.

With over 10 years of experience in the disability services field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting both children and adults with a range of mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and substance use issues. I utilize systemic, disability and trauma-informed approaches, all aimed at supporting individuals while promoting autonomy and working towards meaningful goals.

I prioritize the importance of cultural diversity and ethical considerations, including awareness of social justice issues, ensuring consent, confidentiality, and inclusivity in my work. My professional approaches, values, and integrity are mirrored in my personal life and the way I engage with both myself and others.

I look forward to connecting with you and walking alongside you on your journey.
